American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Rochester is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We found it, the iconic and classic New York deli! Is it in the city? Sure, but maybe not the one you’re thinking about. This is in Rochester, New York, not NYC. Every classic moment from every classic deli you’ve ever wanted in one building, it’s like an entire memory wrapped up in one menu. Food was incredible, service might even been better, highly recommend this place is a nugget.

Old school Jewish Deli etc delicious full sandwiches and fresh baked items. Friendly service with neighborhoods regulars appeal. Been seeing forever with old booths and tradition.

We had lunch on a Monday. The deli was busy, but we were seated immediately. Our server, Connor, was friendly and efficient. Our sandwiches were very good. My New York, New York was piled high with corned beef and pastrami. My friend's Ike and Tina Tuna was ample too! We got some cookies and chopped liver to go and still got out the door under $50. We'll be back!

Stopped into Fox’s Deli for breakfast around 9 AM on a quiet Wednesday morning and had a great experience. Just a few regular breakfast folks in, which made for a nice relaxed start to the day. The food was outstanding. I had the Fox’s Standard Breakfast with pastrami and a French toast bagel, plus an order of potato latkes with sour cream and applesauce. Everything was cooked perfectly and the latkes were especially goodβ€”nice and crispy. Service was fantastic. Kenny was very attentive and never let my coffee get cold, which is always appreciated. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a classic old-school Jewish deli restaurantβ€”comfortable, casual, and focused on great food. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to.

I have been here about 5 times. It's always the same! Friendly staff and consistent food. I like the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. They make bagels in house which adds a fresh element! They have THE BEST Latkes!! Highly recommend. If you're Irish or just love potatoes, order em! Coffee is great. Oh! And always get a sweet treat when you cash out! Locally owned! Support local Rochester business!!!
